Time: 7:30 PM (UTC-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Change Time Zone
(90 minutes long)
Connect and learn with others who are affected by pediatric MS and navigating their own journeys. This virtual program is designed for preteens and teens who live with MS, as well as their parents or legal guardians. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about topics specific to the pediatric MS community and ask questions of a healthcare professional.
Our January program, “How to Tell People You Have MS in a Way That Works for YOU,” will be presented by Jennifer Lindwall, PhD, Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Licensed Psychologist in the Neuroimmunology Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado; and Stacey Hirsch, a self-advocate for pediatric-onset MS diagnosed at age 14. Together, they will discuss the who, what, where, and when of sharing a pediatric MS diagnosis with friends, peers, and others. You’ll also learn strategies for managing your expectations during these conversations and processing the responses you receive.
This free program will be hosted online. You’ll need an active email address to register and attend this virtual program. A meeting link will be provided to you upon registration.
