(90 minutes long)

Connect and learn with others who are affected by pediatric MS and navigating their own journeys. This virtual program is designed for preteens and teens who live with MS, as well as their parents or legal guardians. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about topics specific to the pediatric MS community and ask questions of a healthcare professional.

This free program will provide a brief overview of pediatric MS followed by a presentation given by Dr. Haiwen Chen, MD, PhD, from Johns Hopkins, and Dr. Kelly Jones, Ph.D., ABPP, from the Kennedy Krieger Institute, titled “Academic Considerations in MS." During their presentation, they will discuss common cognitive challenges faced by children with MS and provide an overview of available accommodations and school services, ranging from elementary through college. The remaining time will be open for Q&A with the presenters.
